About the Teacher:
Danielle Stewart is a Fremantle-based weaver, working under the label Midnight Weave Co, who specializes in weaving on frame looms.
With a background in textile surface design, she discovered weaving was the perfect creative outlet for her once she became a Mum.
“Following busy days looking after my two gorgeous boys, evenings are my time to create. I love to relax by playing with beautiful yarns and experimenting with fun colour combinations.”
She loves the tactile nature of weaving and gets immense satisfaction out of creating her work. She prefers to use quality natural fibres in her pieces and enjoys including special hand dyed and hand spun yarns.
Her woven pieces have been on show at Post Irving in Fremantle in 2017 and 2018.
Danielle has an Etsy shop where she sells her woven wall hangings, plus weaving supplies for other weavers to enjoy including beautiful yarns, roving and her own hand- dyed yarns. She has also recently designed her own range of weaving looms and weaving tools, available through her Etsy shop.

There is a PDF document attached to all booking confirmations with a map. Mrs Trivett Place is a sharp left just before Fleet Street. It looks more like a driveway than a road. Keep walking up the hill, past Walyalup Cultural Centre and the public toilets. You will then see our little green building, number 15, tucked beneath the Roundhouse, and overlooking Bather's Beach and the J Shed.
Access is also possible from the back steps behind the J Shed or the footpath behind the Roundhouse. It's a little tucked away and if in doubt, type in 'Workshop Freo' to Google Maps or call 0431774371 for some assistance!
