


LANDSCAPE-IMPRESSIONS, MOOD, COLOUR AND SHAPES
Description
A workshop for all standards of painters, where Christine will guide participants in the principles of
landscape painting using shapes, colour and tone to achieve a pleasing impressionist work.
The course will briefly cover a few necessary principles that will help participants build technique.
Christine will touch on successful composition, the importance of using warm and cool colour,
to create drama and distance, and how to successfully work from a photo.
All paint and medium are provided. BYO BRUSHES & CANVAS.
What you will learn
- 1) Making a subject interesting by understanding the importance of colour to create distance
- 2) The craft of painting in Oil Paint, brush skills.
- 3) Sharpening observation skills.

What to bring
- (No turps of any type). Brushes of various sizes, Soft rags.
- Canvas board approx 35 x 46cm.
What to wear
eg casual clothing, eg clothes you don’t mind getting messy

Open to all those who have painted before in at least some capacity. This workshop is a great introduction to using Oil Paint
Christine Cafarella- Pearce is a contemporary representational artist, with distinctive technique, colour and design. Christine, desires to push her art further whilst retaining essence and integrity in her work. A multi- award winning artist from Healesville, and Fellow of the Australian Guild of Realist Artists. Christine won the Australian Art Excellence Award Gold Medallion 2010. Her paintings showcase landscape, genre, children’s portraits and more, and highlights her desire to story tell with paint. She illustrated the children’s bushfire books (Black Saturday was my dads birthday) and ( Can we go home now)

You are entitled to a full refund.
If you can't attend the class:
- A refund can be requested 2 days before class starts. An admin fee of AU$5.00 applies.
- A transfer can be requested 2 days before the class starts. Free of charge.
- A credit note can be requested 2 days before the class starts. Free of charge.
No changes will be allowed after these times.
