Description

A workshop for all standards of painters and those who just want to have a go.
Christine will guide artists in some basic drawing skills, clever use of fine liners and how to

achieve drawing a correct proportioned building. Participants will learn how to apply 

watercolour washes to colour their works. The course will briefly cover a few basic principles

that will help artists build sound techniques. Christine will touch on successful composition,

and use of colour to create drama, distance and realism. Participants to supply their own watercolour paints, watercolour brushes and A4 reference photo of their chosen building.

Christine will supply WATERCOLOUR PAPER ( and photos if needed)

What to bring

  • Watercolour paints, pallet, various sizes permanent black fine liners
  • Variety of watercolour brushes including a rigger. Paper towel or soft raggs
  • A4 photo of the building you would like to paint. Bare in mind it needs to be clear, with no black shadow areas where you want detail.

What to wear

eg casual clothing, eg clothes you don’t mind getting messy

Christine Cafarella- Pearce is a contemporary representational artist, with distinctive technique, colour and design. Christine, desires to push her art further whilst retaining essence and integrity in her work. A multi- award winning artist from Healesville, and Fellow of the Australian Guild of Realist Artists. Christine won the Australian Art Excellence Award Gold Medallion 2010. Her paintings showcase landscape, genre, children’s portraits and more, and highlights her desire to story tell with paint. She illustrated the children’s bushfire books (Black Saturday was my dads birthday) and ( Can we go home now)

If the organiser cancels the class:

You are entitled to a full refund.

If you can't attend the class:

  • A refund can be requested 2 days before class starts. An admin fee of AU$5.00 applies.
  • A transfer can be requested 2 days before the class starts. Free of charge.
  • A credit note can be requested 2 days before the class starts. Free of charge.

No changes will be allowed after these times.
