Duration: 9.30 - 2.30pm - 5 hours

What to Expect: - Introduction to Lead Light Art: Discover the history and beauty of lead light art. We'll discuss various techniques, tools, and materials used in the craft, inspiring you with examples of stunning finished pieces.  

Materials and Tools: Familiarize yourself with the essential tools and materials, including: - Colored glass pieces - Lead cane - Copper foil  - Glass cutter - Glass Grinder - Soldering iron - Safety equipment (gloves, goggles)  

Hands-On Learning: Participants will follow step-by-step instructions to create their own lead light art piece. 

You will learn: - How to safely cut glass and shape your pieces. - Techniques for assembling your design using copper foil and lead cane. - The basics of soldering to secure your glass pieces together. 

Creative Expression: Bring your own design ideas or choose from templates provided. Whether you want to create a simple suncatcher or a more intricate panel, this class encourages creativity and individual expression. - 

Finishing Touches: Once your piece is assembled, you’ll learn how to clean and finish your leadlight art, making it ready for display in your home or as a thoughtful gift.

Anna Kolusniewski, a seasoned costume and jewelry designer, founded "Aa is for Art" in Melbourne's inner west after a successful career in the fashion industry. She now leads term-based visual arts programs for children and workshops for adults, while also teaching at various institutions throughout Melbourne.
