Rhyme for a Reason - Storytelling through Hip-Hop

Description

Join renowned Hip-Hop artist Mantra as he provides an insight into the world of poetic song writing. Revered for his in-depth storytelling and razor-sharp lyrical delivery, Mantra will cover a range of creative techniques for both beginner-level song writers and the more advanced.

The workshop will examine everything from fundamental skill-building, to devising and developing a concept, to broadening your creative scope and finding your own unique voice. Mantra will delve into his own personal experience and look at how Hip-Hop can be used as a tool for positive self-expression and social change. Participants will have the chance to learn new performance techniques and how to break through any barriers standing between them and the stage or the recording studio.
