Painting on water workshop- Turkish Marbling Art

Painting on water workshop- Turkish Marbling Art

Learn the ancient techniques of painting on water!

Description

Looking for a truly unique experience? Join us to create mesmerising floral artworks using the ancient techniques of Anatolia and feed your inner creative.

Ebru is the traditional art of creating colourful patterns by sprinkling and brushing colour pigments on a pan of oily water and then transforming this pattern onto special paper.

All dyes are naturally derived and skilfully prepared so that they will float and spread above the water. The floating paints are then manipulated by various tools to create a unique design.

With no experience needed, you will be guided through the entire process and will have time to work on many artworks of your own. You will also have your own setup to use.

So what are you waiting for? Let your creativity run wild at this unique and fun workshop!

This is a fun class, Essie is a great teacher and gives plenty of ‘hands on’ time to have a go. It is a small class so you get the benefits of feeling like you have a one on one experience. Amanda
