Fabric Swap at Edendale
Description
A fabric swap (or fabric exchange) is a great way to find new-to-you fabric for your wardrobe or house. By exchanging the fabric you will save textile waste going to landfill and save on buying new fabric. We ask that all fabric please be in good condition (no rips or tears) and be minimum dimensions of 1m x 1m. Fabric swaps provide not only a sustainable alternative to buying new fabric but also promotes community engagement and social interaction. It is a fun way to potentially refresh your wardrobe or house fittings, discover new styles and connect with others who share an interest in sustainable living.
What do I bring?
Bring up to 5 lengths of fabric that you no longer want but would be happy to lend to your friend (good condition - no rips or tears please). You can bring any fabric or design just please make sure it is at least 1metre long by 1m wide. The small fee we ask is to go towards paying for staff time on the day. When you drop them off at a table on site you will be able to swap or exchange them straight away, no need to wait.
How will the event run?
We ask participants to first register interest, then on the day drop your fabric off at the Mummery Education room and pick up some new fabric at the same time. The fabric exchange will run from 11:30am - 1pm.

While there is some parking available at the front of Edendale we would encourage you to investigate some more sustainable transport options including:
- Riding your bike
- Public Transport
- Walking
- Car pooling
Some overflow parking may be available at Eltham North playground
What to bring
- Weather dependent clothes, up to 5 pieces of fabric minimum dimensions 1 metre x 1 metre in length and width

Edendale is a small working farm on 7 hectares of land adjacent to the Diamond Creek in Eltham.
We are open 7 days a week 9.30 to 4.30 with the exception of Christmas Day. Entry to the farm is by a Gold Coin Donation into one of our donation boxes around the farm.
Edendale's purpose is to provide an interactive community and education centre to support sustainable living practices for the whole community.

If the organiser cancels the class:
You are entitled to a full refund.
If you can't attend the class:
You’re welcome to send someone in your place.
OR
You may cancel anytime before class starts and claim a full refund or transfer or credit note.

Terms & Conditions
Anyone partaking in any classes or coming to any events at Edendale Farm or organised by Edendale Farm must agree to these terms and conditions.
1.) LIABILITY WAIVER
I agree to take on full responsibility for any damages, injuries and for physical and/or personal property, which I might incur whilst participating in classes and/or events organised by Edendale Farm
2.) PHOTO & VIDEO
I agree to give Edendale Farm unrestricted publishing rights for any photographs, videos or recordings taken at Edendale Farm classes and events or on Edendale Farm premises. (For use of Edendale Farm marketing materials).
Photos and videos recordings will not be taken of children without written permission from parents or guardians.
3.) REFUNDS
Edendale Farm requires 72 hours notice in writing prior to the class commencing for a refund, transfer or credit.
4.) CANCELLATIONS
In the event that a class is cancelled by Edendale Farm, students will be notified via text message or email and entitled to a full refund, transfer or credit.
