Children's Short Course in Pottery
Description
The tutor for all classes is Manuela Ferstl
This 4 week course offers a wonderful way for children from mid-primary through to early secondary school to further their techniques & skills in clay with guided tuition, and of course, to have plenty of opportunity for their own ‘free-making’ & pottery wheels to use.
Classes are small with a maximum of 8 students.
The studio is cosy & warm in winter and air-conditioned in summer.
All materials included - all clay, glazes & colors, firings, drink, snack (plant-based)
Cost $280 is ALL INCLUSIVE
Dates - 24th, 31st May, 7th & 14th June, Tuesdays 3.45pm till 5.45pm
What you will learn
- Children can further their techniques & skills in clay with guided tuition, and also learn how to paint their pieces with many under-glaze colors available .
- Plenty of opportunity for ‘free-making’ pieces of their choice
- They will create shapes & forms in clay by rolling, extruding, or throwing
What you will get
- a term of finished & fired creations, both as set projects and their own ideas
- Skill to create various forms with clay, to take home after 3 or 4 weeks.
What to bring
- Please bring an old clean, towel, each time.
What to wear
Comfy clothes. Warning: it might get messy! but definitely all washable

Suitable from ages 6 and up
Come escape the daily routine and center yourself with some soul-shaping fun! Tucked in among old gum trees and songbirds, this cottage-style workshop provides a tranquil setting for creating all things clay!
Manuela offers a range of classes for all ages and learning stages. Come have some fun learning Hand-building, Sculpture, or even the Potters Wheel.
Cancellations & Refunds
If the organiser cancels the class:
You are entitled to a full refund.
If you can't attend the class:
You’re welcome to send someone in your place.
OR
- A transfer can be requested 14 days before the class starts. An admin fee of AU$10.00 applies.
- A credit note can be requested 14 days before the class starts. An admin fee of AU$10.00 applies.
No changes will be allowed after these times.

Terms & Conditions
1.) If Mt.Eliza Pottery Studio requires a class to be postponed or cancelled, your class can be transferred free of charge to another class of the same value, offered as a credit note towards another session free of charge, or refunded less a booking and admin fee charge. Credit notes last 2 years.
Customers are required to make up the difference if the class being transferred to is of higher value or, in the case of an increase in price.
2.) Please choose your classes carefully and note that refunds are not offered (other than if cancelled by Mt.Eliza pottery Studio).
-- Transfers & credit notes need minimum 14 days notice.
-- Transfers & credit notes may be considered if less than the required 14 days notice is given, ONLY if your place has been refilled, however, NOT LESS than 3 days notice.
3.) Make-up classes cannot be offered for missed sessions, refunded or transferred, please consider this when booking, thankyou.
4.) Anyone partaking in any classes or coming to any events at Mt.Eliza Pottery Studio or organised by Mt.Eliza Pottery Studio must agree to these terms and conditions.
5.) I agree to take on full responsibility for any damages, injuries and for physical and/or personal property, which I might incur whilst participating in classes and/or events organised at Mt.Eliza Pottery Studio or organised by Mt.Eliza Pottery Studio .
6.) A non-attendance, forfeits the fee paid.
