The course was exactly what I needed to help in making more consistent coffees at home. Having an experienced barista be able to show me exactly how to do certain aspects of stretching milk, pouring and extraction has helped me massively. Must do for any coffee lover!

This is exactly what I needed in my coffee making journey. Having bought a decent espresso machine at home and not being able to consistently pull a great shot, I literally spent the past year tearing my hair out, watching YouTube tutorials, reading article and tips... but nothing worked. A couple of hours in this training and it's completely upped my coffee game. I know how to create a coffee recipe for a consistent espresso shot... And most importantly, it wasn't just theoretical, we did it all on my machine.

Having been an avid drinker of ONA coffee, I was excited to learn about filter prep from them. Hugh and Jay were both friendly and knowledgable and gave good advice on how to dial in coffee (where to start, what to tweak, etc). The class was mostly practical with a station per person so we could properly learn and improve on our pour technique. We brewed several different coffees and were able to taste the differences between each, as well as how factors like grind size might impact the same coffee. We finished with improved skills and a recipe we could easily replicate at home. Also, as this class took place during COVID-19, it was nice to see the cafe / lesson had strictly adhered to social distancing rules (QR code at the door, space between stations, hand sanitiser available).
