Description

Our 2024 soil series was one of the most popular to date.  Sustainable Gardening Australia is excited to build on that success with a new four-part Master Class series called Spotlight on Soil. Each online session is one hour long, is delivered by gardening experts, recorded, and available for up to two weeks after the event. This series will address key soil issues, particularly in urban environments, including contamination and compaction. We’ll also dive deeper into soil biology, focusing on fungi, microbes, and minerals.

Thurs, 20/03/25 at 7pm: Overview of Healthy Soil and the Role of Fungi with David Sparks

Weds, 25/03/25 at 7pm: Why Soil Compaction is a Big Problem and How to Overcome It with Craig Castree

Weds, 09/04/25 at 7pm: Soil Contamination and Safety in Urban Areas with Alistair Kirkpatrick

Weds, 02/04/25 at 7pm: Microbes & Minerals with Donna Livermore
