Poetry in response to artworks

Responding to Art - Poetry Workshop

Develop poetry in response to art at YAVA gallery

Enjoy the energy that is created as one art form reacts to another. Explore the current exhibition and ways of responding with words and poetry. Read examples of ekphrastic poetry (poetry responding to art) and be guided in a mindfulness exercise to become more centred and able to see and perceive in the present moment. Then have a go at writing exercises in response to artworks in the current exhibition.  No experience necessary and sharing of writing will be optional.
