Starry, Starry Night
Description
Join us for a stellar one-day painting workshop to create a series of small-scale starry night sky studies together!
Under the guidance of experienced painting tutor Chloe Lam, we'll set off on a journey to create a cosmos with watercolours. From twinkling stars to the deep hues of the night sky, participants will learn to focus on observation, careful detail and expressive mark-making in colour while developing more experience with the qualities of watercolour painting.
With step-by-step demonstrations and plenty of individual attention, budding artists will master techniques to capture the soft glow of a starry night sky using rich blue washes and blends.

The Corban Estate Arts Centre is located in Henderson, West Auckland.
We’re home to artist studios, our very own cafe, art classes for adults, youth and children, and an ever-changing programme of exhibitions and events.
Set within park-like grounds amongst historic winery buildings. Open Monday to Saturday, entry is free, everybody’s welcome.

Your Teacher
Chloe Lam is an artist who recently moved to Auckland. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Visual Communication (Graphic Design), and a Master’s degree in Art and Education from Birmingham City University. She completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Education in Visual Art at The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
Chloe enjoys writing songs on piano, guitar and ukulele. She is interested in multiple disciplines, studying both arts and music in her Master’s.

- A deposit is required to secure your place and payment must be made in full to confirm your booking.
- Cancellation by Corban Estate Arts Centre entitles the participant to a FULL REFUND.
- Cancellation by participant up until 7 days before the workshop commences results in a transfer where possible OR full credit to be used within 6 months of cancellation date OR a full refund MINUS a 10% admin & booking fee.
- Cancellation by participant within 7 days of the workshop commencement date results in a transfer where possible OR full credit to be used within 6 months of cancellation date OR a full refund MINUS a 30% admin & booking fee.
- Cancellation by participant on or after the workshop commencement date results in NO refund given.
