Introduction to Experimental Printmaking
Description
In this relaxed and fun weekly evening class, you will create a body of work using a variety of printmaking techniques, including monoprint, collagraph, and relief printing. With friendly guidance and technical support from resident artist and tutor Julie Moselen, this class is designed to allow space for personal exploration of the printmaking process.
Through the experimental use of papers, inks, and mediums, you will develop skills in embossing, chine collé, masking, colour blending, vignettes, and ombres. This class includes the use of our large floor-standing printing press, and is suitable for beginners and beyond.

The Corban Estate Arts Centre is located in Henderson, West Auckland.
We’re home to artist studios, our very own cafe, art classes for adults, youth and children, and an ever-changing programme of exhibitions and events.
Set within park-like grounds amongst historic winery buildings. Open Monday to Saturday, entry is free, everybody’s welcome.

Your Teacher
Julie Moselen completed a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Metalcraft and Jewellery Design before moving to Aotearoa in 1998 and founding her own contemporary jewellery studio. Over the following decades she expanded her practice to encompass printmaking, painting and stone-carving, before settling on sculpture.

- A deposit is required to secure your place and payment must be made in full to confirm your booking.
- Cancellation by Corban Estate Arts Centre entitles the participant to a FULL REFUND.
- Cancellation by participant up until 7 days before the workshop commences results in a transfer where possible OR full credit to be used within 6 months of cancellation date OR a full refund MINUS a 10% admin & booking fee.
- Cancellation by participant within 7 days of the workshop commencement date results in a transfer where possible OR full credit to be used within 6 months of cancellation date OR a full refund MINUS a 30% admin & booking fee.
- Cancellation by participant on or after the workshop commencement date results in NO refund given.
