This workshop series provides an overview of the ancient philosophy of Stoicism and introduces learners to the major thinkers of the school and its development through time.
It considers the way Stoicism has remained relatively ‘intact’ as it moves across the ages, how it responded to pandemics and how it is visible and practised today in the modern world.
Look at belief systems and art forms such as poetry to demonstrate the ways Stoicism inspires thought and action both in the ancient world and today.
Rebecca Law, the course leader, has a Doctorate in Language & Linguistics, a Master’s Degree in English Literature and has been tutoring higher education students for many years.
