Arty Parties! Creative Birthday Parties for Kids.

Celebrate your birthday at Gloworm Studios! Learn to create something new while having a blast with all of your friends.

Some of our activities include:

• Watercolour Cupcake Painting: Learn to draw a series of cupcakes then use your imagination to design the toppings and colours. We use coloured patterned papers, glitter and beads to stick on to our paintings as decorations. Warning: you might be hungry for birthday cake after this yummy activity! (Suitable for ages 5-14)
• Paper Crowns: In this activity we paint and draw flowers, leaves and/or feathers and attach them on to a paper crown for each party goer to wear. We paint our creations with watercolour paint as well as metallic silver and gold paints. (Suitable for ages 5-14)
• Hot Air Balloon Collage: In this activity we begin by painting a big colourful hot air balloon and then use different coloured and patterned papers to stick on different elements of our design. (Suitable for ages 7-14)
• Animal painting: The birthday child picks their favourite animal and we create an animal portrait using coloured pencil and paints. (Suitable for ages 6-14)
• Flying Owls: Create a rainbow owl using collage and watercolour paints! Together we will learn how to paint an owl and to make our own feathers that make our owls look like they're flying through the air. (Suitable for ages 6-10)
• Watercolour animals:  Create a watercolour painting of your favourite animals! Glitter optional! (Suitable for all ages groups)

Our activities can also be tailor made to suit a particular theme or interest of the birthday child, please don’t hesitate to get in touch to discuss your ideas.

Prices begin at $325  for up to 10 children and $20 per child after that. Our maximum number of children for parties is 15. Minimum age for our parties is 6 years old. 

Our parties run for 90 minutes for children aged 6-8 and two hours for children aged 9 and up.

*Please note: Gloworm Studios is a cozy space therefore we cannot accommodate parents of party goers. The birthday child's parents, siblings and grandparents are welcome of course!

Gloworm Studios is a unique art school located in the heart of Fairfield. Led by professional illustrator Marianna Marx, our programs specialise in painting, drawing and illustration. Gloworm Studios is a warm and nurturing environment where artists both young and young at heart are invited to immerse themselves in their creativity and imagination.

Marianna Marx has taught art alongside her illustration career for the past 10 years. Her experiences include working in the education department at the De Young Museum in San Francisco, an artist residency at Caulfield Grammar School, one on one art tutoring for children and adults, after school art classes, corporate workshops and working alongside artists with intellectual disabilities. Marianna has taken insight from each of these experiences to create an art school of her own where she can share her love for creative expression with others in her local community.
