Your Teacher
Wendi Bradshaw's ‘leisure’ time has always been engaged in artistic pursuits. In her early life, she studied graphic art and design (without completing the degree) and completed a certificate course in bookbinding, working briefly in a bindery on book repair. Many of her passions include book art, creation and restoration, yet currently she's revisiting textile fabrication – knitting, spinning, creative darning and embroidery. Although retired, she has formal teaching qualifications (cert. 4 workplace training and assessment and she did a year sessional teaching at Deakin uni). She has presented at symposia and professional conferences and has completed formal research with publications. Having journalled extensively all her life, an interest in textiles was rekindled by a recent trip to Japan – hence the orihon focus. She enjoys imparting valuable, useful knowledge to interested persons.
Handweavers & Spinners Guild of Victoria has an average rating of 4.9 for their other classes.
