FLASH SALE MONDAY 8TH APRIL 6-8:30pm CLASS

Support a not-for-profit! This is an introductory pottery course that explores the exciting world of clay wheel-throwing.   

The course consists of 10 contact hours spread over 4 x weekly 2.5 hour sessions.  

No prior experience needed.  Perfect for beginners.

You will learn the basics of ceramics in a friendly and encouraging environment, starting with a broad slab of clay and progressing all the way through to a finished piece of pottery work. We will focus on making functional ware such as pottery cups, bowls and vases.

The course covers: basic pottery theory; ceramics OH&S and good studio practice; wedging; centering; the forming of vessels on the pottery wheel; finishing techniques such as trimming and decorating and glazing.

The course will be limited to 8 participants, allowing for lots of individual tuition.

All biqsued/ glazed finished pottery works are charged at $12 per Kilo.

No shows will not be refunded, as we are a not for profit, any transfer of classes will incur a $10 fee to cover admin staff time.

At this stage we do not have capacity for make up classes.

PLEASE WEAR COMFORTABLE CLOTHES AND SHOES YOU DON'T MIND GETTING DIRTY.  

PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR NAILS ARE SHORT. Long nails may affect your work. 

Pieces can be collected 3 -4 weeks after the course finishes.

All profits from workshops held at Little Woods go towards helping fund the programs of Jesuit Social Services.

We are an accredited NDIS provider.

Really enjoyed my first taste of pottery in this 4 week course. The classes were very laid back, allowing for lots of time for experimenting with personal style

Cancellations & Refunds

If the organiser cancels the class:

You are entitled to a full refund.

If you can't attend the class:

You’re welcome to send someone in your place.

OR

  • A refund can be requested 14 days before class starts. An admin fee of AU$10.00 applies.
  • A transfer can be requested 14 days before the class starts. An admin fee of AU$10.00 applies.

No changes will be allowed after these times.

We recommend the refund upgrade option upon checkout in case you’re not able to attend the class. Learn more about refund upgrade option.

Terms & Conditions

We require 2 week notice in writing (email) prior to the class commencing for a full refund or transfer. In the event that a class is cancelled, students will be notified via text message or email and will be given a full refund. No shows will not be refunded.  As we are a not for profit, any transfer of classes will incur a $10 fee to cover admin staff time.
