Description

A single class, designed to teach new students the basics of throwing on the wheel

When: Monday Night - 6.30pm to 9.00pm

What you will learn:

  • How to centre your clay on the wheel
  • How to form cylinders
  • How to create simple bowl forms

When you choose this class you get to skip most of the technical stuff and will get away with not having to knead your clay or finish your pieces. We will have the clay all prepared for you and will teach you the basics of throwing and help you to make a few basic forms.  Then, all you need to do is come back and pick up your masterpieces around four weeks later.

All materials and firing are included in the class price.  Sajo Ceramics Staff will finish your pieces for you after the class.

COST: $85.00

Please also note that this class may not be suitable for children under 12 years of age due to needing to be a certain height to use the wheel.

I thoroughly enjoyed the session on Monday evening, as a gift for Mothers Day. The studio was well equipped with instruction patiently provided. I would certainly recommend as a gift or anyone wishing to give pottery a try.
