A social class with a glass of wine

Over 100 people have attended this class

Description

Friday Night Wheel & Wine

Join us for a social class that includes a complimentary glass of wine! Fridays nights are for relaxing and having fun, and that is exactly what you will do in our pottery class, while also exploring your creativity and making some beautiful pottery!

During this 2.5hour class our experienced teacher will guide you through the foundations of throwing pottery on the wheel. Participants can expect to create 2-6 pieces, which are professionally finished, glazed, and fired by our staff. We contact you 4-6 weeks later to collect your food safe, dishwasher safe, oven & microwave safe items!

Ideal date night activity!

Sick of the typical movie & dinner date? Why not try something new & creative?

Interested in booking the whole studio for a private class? Just email us at sajoceramics@gmail.com. We have hosted unique hen’s parties and joyous birthday celebrations! Please note that this is for a minimum of 12 people.

What to bring:

All you need is a towel! All clay and tools are provided for Wheel Taster tickets. Although clay washes out easily, we recommend wearing clothes you don’t mind getting messy in! Shoes are also required at all times in the studio for safety reasons.

Returning students must provide their own clay and tools, and firing is additional, charged at $10 per kilo.

Parking Info

Please drive right past the house to the long white shed.  Park in front of the shed.

Classes often book out, so book early to avoid disappointment. On rare occasions, classes may be cancelled if there are not enough students booked in – ensure you are booked in to avoid showing up to closed doors! We will contact students directly to reschedule cancelled classes.

We have set up our studio to bring together pottery and ceramics in a combined space and to be an affordable, fun place where anyone can come and enjoy creating with clay. Our studio is a place where there are very little rules except to respect your fellow artists, their work and the studio, to relax and learn that there is no end to the possibilities when working with clay..........

At SaJo Ceramics you can...

Join a casual pottery class or social pottery & ceramics session; take a workshop to have a go at the pottery wheel, take one of our 6 week courses to learn the basics of throwing, or just use our  Melbourne studio facilities on a casual basis. Discover beautiful stoneware handmade tiles for a unique splashback or outdoor wall feature or make your own! Explore a huge catalogue of ceramic pieces to paint in both acrylic paints and fired finishes, made to order from vintage and modern bisque designs. Buy hand made tile blanks for your school or community project, ready for you to paint, carve or decorate, or just drop in and chat with fellow artists while enjoying a cuppa.

Such an awesome and friendly setting to just chill out with friends and be creative. They have everything you need and sell stuff so you can keep making at home. Don't want to actually be covered in clay or building just isn't your style? They have ready made things that you can paint too. There really is something for everyone.
