24 June 2021Beginner Wheel Course - 4 weeks - Saturday morning
Absolutely thrilled with my experience doing the 4 week beginner class with Georgie! I learnt a lot, felt very supported, and had a wonderful time learning a new skill. Great small class sizes in a really lovely studio. I was so surprised to receive my finished pieces only a few days after the final firing as I’ve had other pottery studios take 7weeks! Overall, highly recommend classes with Sarah’s studio. I concluded my course taking home 11 pieces which I’m very pleased with.

I really enjoyed this 4 week class; it gives a good introduction to wheel throwing. In the first week you learn the technique of wheel throwing, which turns out the be quite a bit harder than it looks. This might be a bit frustrating. However, in the second week it suddenly seems much easier for everyone and we all got to make a range of nice pots. In the third week we trimmed the pots and in the last week we glazed them all, which was really fun. The class gave a great overview of the process and we all got a range of nice little pots to take home. I definitely recommend this class if you are trying to find out whether pottery might me your next big hobby or you want to try something new.
