Young Writers Club Workshops 13-17 years
Description
A 6-week course that focuses on inspiring creativity, honing craft, and workshopping ideas and writing with the end goal of a finished short story suitable for either a school assignment or to send out to youth writing competitions. The hour class time will be divided into three sections – tutorial, writing, and workshopping. The workshops will cover big picture stuff like structure, pace, characters, setting, but also smaller picture stuff like writing dynamic sentences, a bit of nitty gritty grammar, and editing.
What you will learn
- The workshops will excite teenagers about creating stories, engaging with language, and finding their own voices. The workshops are also intended to give teenagers confidence to talk about their work and give and receive constructive feedback in a pressure-free environment.

You are entitled to a full refund.
If you can't attend the class:
You’re welcome to send someone in your place.

- A refund can be requested 14 days before class starts. An admin fee of AU$50.00 applies.
- A transfer can be requested 2 days before the class starts. An admin fee of AU$30.00 applies.
- A credit note can be requested 2 days before the class starts. An admin fee of AU$30.00 applies.
No changes will be allowed after these times.

Anyone partaking in any classes or coming to any events at Young Writers Club Brisbane or organised by Young Writers Club Brisbane must agree to these terms and conditions.
1.) LIABILITY WAIVER
I agree to take on full responsibility for any damages, injuries and for physical and/or personal property, which I might incur whilst participating in classes and/or events organised by Young Writers Club Brisbane
2.) PHOTO & VIDEO
Please let Young Writers Club Brisbane know if you consent to photographs and videos of your child to be included in our marketing material. Otherwise, we will not take any images without consent.
