Prerequisite: you must have some prior experience with free machine embroidery.

In this class you will use plants and grasses as a resist for transfer painting to create individual pieces of art. These designs are cut up, realigned, and combined with other complimentary fabrics to create a new and exciting piece of work that incorporates free machine embroidery, some hand stitching and baeding.

Saturday 24 October & Sunday 25 October 2015, 10am to 3pm
- Extend your machine embroidery skills
- Make your own fabric transfer: paint onto paper, dry, then iron onto fabric
- Resist dye with leaves and grasses
- A new and exciting piece of textile art that showcases your new skills in machine embroidery, transfer painting, resist dying, hand stitching & beading
- Day One: Foliage / Grasses from your garden to act as a resist, Pen & Paper, Scissors, Hair Dryer
- Day Two: Sewing machine, machine & hand embroidery needles, pins, threads (opt. to buy), Scissors

We're open to expressions of interest, so let us know if there's something you want to learn.
If for any reason you decide that the workshop you have done or are doing does not suit you, then that is a personal decision and no refund will be given.
If Opendrawer cancels a workshop, you will be given a full refunds or can choose a replacement workshop to the same value as the workshop being cancelled. You will be notified at least 2 days before the due date of the workshop if cancellation is necessary due to insufficient enrolments.
A $10 admin fee applies to all changes of date/workshop bookings.
Cancellations made within two weeks of the booked workshop will forfeit 50% of the advertised fee - or you may find a replacement student.
Cancellations made within 24 hours of the workshop will forfeit the full advertised fee - or you may find a replacement student.
