Description

This program focuses on developing skills and creativity in a fun and nurturing environment. We cover many fine art techniques such as drawing, painting, ceramics and printing using mixed media with a strong emphasis on sculpture and craft. Suitable for all skill levels in grades 4 & 5. Little Artists which also runs on Saturday mornings from 9-10.30am is for kids in grades 2 & 3.

Anna Kolusniewski, a seasoned costume and jewelry designer, founded "Aa is for Art" in Melbourne's inner west after a successful career in the fashion industry. She now leads term-based visual arts programs for children and workshops for adults, while also teaching at various institutions throughout Melbourne. 

Anna has collaborated with numerous nonprofit and government-funded organizations to deliver impactful art therapy programs. Recognized as one of Australia’s foremost costume jewelry designers, Anna specializes in theatrical and period styles. Her award-winning work has been featured in a variety of bridal and fashion publications, showcased at Fashion Week, and highlighted in film and theater productions. Additionally, Anna has contributed to many group exhibitions, further establishing her presence in the art community.

She believes everyone has the ability to be creative and with positive encouragement can produce beautiful artwork. She also believes creativity has a calming effect on children and builds confidence through a sense of achievement, she loves inspiring children to push the boundaries of what they think they are capable of to send them to next level.

My daughter loved the classes at Aa is for Art. They have just the right balance of inclusivity and accessibility for all, but also a good level of complexity to the projects to keep her engaged and keen to come every week, to learn more things.

My daughter loves Anna’s class. This term is her fourth term and she had a good improvement. They do different things every week

My daughter has been going to Anna’s art classes for a few terms now and loves it. She comes home with some impressive pieces including sculptures, clay pieces and painted artwork.

If the organiser cancels the class:

You are entitled to a full refund.

If you can't attend the class:

You’re welcome to send someone in your place.

  • A refund can be requested 2 days before class starts. Free of charge.
