Please Note: This is an Online class and will be conducted via Zoom for a safe and creative experience right from the comfort of your own home. Participants will be delivered login instructions via email upon booking and it is recommended you familiarise yourself with the Zoom software prior to the class. All materials are included but participants will need to be close enough to collect materials and drop off work for firing once finished  - details below.

In this 90 minute workshop your budding artist will join resident potter Denholm Lappas in making a creative creature inspired cup.  Whatever the shape or style when it's finished it will be functional and ready for use!

A Creative Creature cup might have clawed feet and a dragon tail.  It might be pink and shaped like a strawberry.   Maybe it's an alien with spots and tentacles?  It might have a cute face, or have a furry texture like a dog.

Kids will be provided with examples of cups made previously, but encouraged to be as creative as they wish with the different materials and tools provided.  They will be taught pinch techniques to create the cup shape and shown how to correctly join handles and decorations.

Due to current restrictions on accessing the studio pieces will be glazed by our expert technician. Allow 3-4 weeks for firing.

Parents are encouraged to watch in during the lesson to provide assistance with making and any minor technical issues which may arise.

Collection and Drop-off: All materials are included in the price and will need to be collected from Clay Talk @ Montsalvat on Wednesday 8th April between 4pm - 6pm ONLY (Please keep all materials after using).  You will then need to return your finished pieces on Thursday 16th April 4pm-6pm ONLY for firing and then collection when notified via email (Most likely a Thursday at the same time 3-4 weeks after).

Please Do Not Book If You Cannot Meet These Requirements.
