Metal clay is a revolutionary product which comes in a clay form, it can easily be manipulated and following firing, the clay fuses and becomes solid metal. This short three hour introduction workshop will introduce you to the beauty of working with this wonderful medium as you learn to make Fine Silver - .999 jewellery.

During the evening you will be introduced to the basics of working with precious metal clay by learning how to work with it in a controlled and time sensitive environment. Your items will then be kiln fired, however you will be given a demonstration on how to hand torch fire so that you can easily continue working at home.

Your class includes product to the value of $45 and you will have the opportunity to purchase additional clay or upgrade your packet to a larger amount should you so wish. The clay provided will allow you to create several pairs of earrings or pendants over the three hour period.

What to wear

OH&S protocols at SJS require all students to wear CLOSED IN shoes and for long hair to be tied back. We recommend wearng glasses instead of contact lenses and to wear minimal jewellery in a studio environment.
