Join Aleksandra Vali, well-known in design jewellery circles in the USA, will teach for 10 hours over 2 days to create unique designs in metal when making simple pieces or setting precious stones. The surface texture is what sets your piece of jewelry apart from others.

CLASS I Fri. 10 am to 5 pm (with 1 hour lunch) Sat. 9am to 1PM FINISH

In this two-day workshop with Aleksandra Vali, you will experience four aspects of the jewelry making process, and newly acquired skills will build on each other. First, you will be exposed to a broad range of new intriguing surfaces and textures to create astonishing effects via combination and contrast. You will get a hands-on opportunity to compose your own collection of samples.

In the next part of the workshop, Aleksandra will share her sketching techniques: (fast, elegant, and easy to adopt regardless of your comfort level with drawing).

The 3rd area of focus will be turning sketches into paper models to use as templates to make final pieces. You will be able to compose intriguing jewelry pieces using these simple techniques, or advance your texture skills to create more sophisticated multifaceted pieces.
