Description

Now that you have a few garments and projects under your belt (pardon the pun), let's tackle Dresses, The Fawn Dress by Common Stitch.

As this is a next step beginner lesson, we will still take it slow but we will focus more on pattern cutting, construction, sewing skills and finishing garments.

This is a super comfy dress - easy to sew and easy to wear! Two bodice styles and two skirt lengths, these patterns are the perfect staple for your wardrobe. Beginner friendly and super versatile, mix them up with plain or printed fabrics and get creative! These dress's are designed to be oversized, so there is no need to 'size up' at all! The Fawn Dress Set of patterns includes 2 different dress designs, each with two length styles (4 dress combinations). With Sleeves: Short + Long Lengths Without Sleeves: Short + Long Lengths

Your Teacher

KELDA RICHARDS

In 2008 Kelda started teaching sewing in her own studio to teenagers and adults. She knows that there's nothing like the satisfaction of making your own clothing and home furnishings. She will teach you all the shortcuts to save time when sewing to allow you to finish garments to a high standard.

Kelda loves unusual and quirky fabrics. Designing or finding a new pattern and making it her own is always exciting. When she's not sewing, her other passions are baking, pottery and spending time with her family and friends. She loves learning anything creative.

Kelda believes that everyone can sew. You just need the right teacher and to have fun while you do it!

The teacher was good she showed us many tips and tricks. The majority of the class finished the dress which was great. Important to ensure you measure up you size before class as the dress is large it’s recommended that you go down a size. If you short on stature you may also need to reduce the length of the bodice of the dress. It was a good class.
