Description

Spend a day learning a traditional craft in a communal atmosphere sitting round the table with others. You will create a small basket using a wrapping, coiling and stitching technique

Learn how to identify and collect plant material from your garden and how to incorporate it into your coiled basket.

You will learn how to wrap fibre around a core and stitch fibres together. Also how to add fibres to the surface to create a texture

All materials are provided - tincluding Cordyline,corn husk, chasmanthe, watsonia,cane and various size string and cord.

Jeanette is an art teacher and a fibre and clay artist who has been weaving baskets for 20 years. If there are insufficient numbers for a workshop it may be cancelled or postponed. In this case, you will benotified as soon as possible and given the option of a full refund or a BAAG gift voucher or a transfer to aclass of equivalent value.
