Dying to Know - Rat Taxidermy
Description
The Rest in Pieces Team invites you to attend our third Dying to Know - A live demonstration of rat taxidermy.
Rest in Pieces founder and taxidermist, Natalie Delaney-John, will share her knowledge of the dying arts so you can begin your journey into the art of taxidermy: taxis, meaning ‘arrangement’ and derma, meaning ‘skin’.
Nat will teach you basic rat anatomy while guiding you through the correct process of skinning, preserving and mounting a specimen.
You will learn the techniques on how to complete this fascinating process at home, will have the opportunity to ask questions and will have the option to purchase the e-book or the book.
Once the session is complete you will be invited to join the Dying to know exclusive facebook page where you can add pictures of your creations and continue to pick our brains.
If you can't attend the live session, you will have access to a filmed version for 10 days after the event.

Taxidermy - Taxis 'arrangement' + Derma 'skin'
Natalie Delaney-John has travelled far and wide to learn the art of taxidermy and has been mentored by some of the world's best and most awarded taxidermists. She is the proud founder of Rest in Pieces, which launched Australia's first taxidermy workshops, conducts talks, demonstrations and now sells DIY kits so that you can learn this beautiful art in the comfort of your own home.
Since 2016, the Rest in Pieces team has expanded further into the 'dying arts', offering new classes and workshops aimed at preserving and presenting natural specimens.
