Learn to make arancini and cantucci with a nonna
(Private Dates Available)
Description
In this class, you'll learn the art of making perfectly seasoned risotto, which is the base for our delicious arancini. Our nonna will teach you how to prepare the risotto, flavor it with herbs and spices, and shape it into small balls, which will be filled with a variety of tasty ingredients such as mozzarella, peas, and meat ragù.
You'll also learn how to create a crispy and golden brown exterior by breading and frying the arancini to perfection. Our nonna will share with you the tips and tricks to ensure that your arancini are crunchy on the outside and soft and flavorful on the inside.
Next, we'll move on to cantucci, a classic Italian almond biscotti. Our nonna will teach you the secrets to making the perfect dough, which will be filled with crunchy almonds and flavored with fragrant vanilla and citrus zest. You'll learn how to shape the dough into small logs and bake them to a perfect golden brown.
Finally, we'll show you how to slice the cantucci and bake them again to create a crispy, crunchy texture that pairs perfectly with coffee or a glass of dessert wine.
By the end of this class, you'll have the knowledge and skills to impress your friends and family with two classic Italian delicacies, arancini and cantucci, and carry on the traditions of Italian cooking.
