Description

BEGINNER & BEYOND 4 or 5 WEEK SEWING COURSE

Let's really get sewing! This 4 or 5 week Learn to Sew course is for those who want to get sewing fast and consistently!

** Please note that this class is an open level class. There will be sewists at different stages in your class.  You will still get super personalised attention!

BEGINNERS:

Each week we will build on the skills learnt from the precious week.  The first two weeks will focussed on learning how to thread your machine, sew some basic stitches and sew a curved line plus hem, ending with making a tote bag in week one and two.  We'll then move onto PJ shorts.

Skill level: Complete beginner - bring your machine in the box!

BEYOND BEGINNER:

Whether you have sewn a little bit or a lot, this is a time for you to focus on that learning, a tricky technique, pattern or skill.  It's also a chance to get that project you have been wanting to tackle for ages, started and hopefully finished!

In this course, you will bring your own project/s to work on with the guidance of a sewing teacher.  We find that if you work on a project that interests you, or suits you best, you learn more and have more fun!

Skill level: Has sewn before & can thread your machine.

Just finished the 5 week beginner course. It was fantastic. Made a skirt and pants within that time with help from Kelda. I’m starting to feel more confident tackling more challenging patterns. Thanks 🤩

I really enjoyed my classes. As a beginner, it was quite daunting. However, I soon learnt the basics with a patient and supportive teacher. I look forward to starting the next round of classes soon.

Feedback with Compassion: When giving feedback, do so with compassion and respect. Be sensitive to the feelings of others and offer constructive critiques that aim to uplift and assist, rather than demean.
