Maker Therapy - Create, Destroy, Create Collage
Description
WHAT IS MAKER THERAPY ALL ABOUT?
Did you know that tapping in to your creative energy can improve your overall health and well being? It is well recognised that creative engagement can decrease anxiety, stress, and other mental health issues. MakerSpace & co thinks that we all could do with a bit of a well being boost. We've all been affected by the what's been happening over the last two years; it's been tough.
This is why MakerSpace & co is introducing a series of creative workshops that focus on mindful making, artistic self expression and building social connections. Think of it as a creative tonic to pick you up. Working with qualified art therapists, our Maker Therapy series is an opportunity for you to take a breath, practice some self care and get to meet other people in a safe and inclusive space.
CREATE, DESTROY, CREATE COLLAGE
Using big sheets of paper, and many different art materials, you will be led through multiple artistic processes to create, destroy, and create again.
Using art therapy techniques, this highly experimental workshop will show you how to gently let go of perfectionism, and how to reclaim your inner resilience in times of transformation and change. You will leave this workshop with an inner landscape collage, and creative tools for self-care to continue practicing on your own. No art making skills required, come as you are to explore and unleash your creativity!
