Melbourne Macrame queen, Maggie May (The Middle Aisle) is visiting Adelaide!
In this class, Maggie guides you through creating a large improvised Macramé Wall Hanging. You'll also get a huge dose of creative confidence. This is an empowering class designed to help you get started on a creative journey that will last a lifetime. If you're after a premium Macrame workshop class this is the place for you!
This workshop has strictly limited places so that every one gets lots of help and guidance throughout the class.
This class is also suitable for beginners and the basics are covered however Maggie encourages her students to craft something original and no patterns are used. Never fear if you think you are lacking in creativity, Macramé is a wonderful craft for expressing a vision you never knew you had and practicing mindfulness and meditation. This is a creative and fun class that will give you the basic skills to create a Macramé work of art whilst getting inspiration from Maggie and your fellow classmates.
Who is The Middle Aisle?
Maggie May is a master Macramé artist, graphic designer, and stylist for her business, The Middle Aisle. She is passionate about working with Australian made materials and supporting local makers and craftspeople. After discovering Macrame she immediately fell in love with the craft because of Macrame’s versatility for expression and creativity. Maggie creates modern ‘improvised’ macrame pieces inspired by Melbourne and her life. She regularly posts on her Instagram @middleaisle about her life and being creative in Melbourne.
Maggie is also one-half of the creative duo behind Think Thornbury!
Extra Macramé supplies will be available on the day, however as Maggie May is traveling from Melbourne if you would like to pre-purchase rope with your booking you'll get a special 10% off to say THANK YOU for helping her (and Josh) pack the car for their road trip!
If you have any special rope requests don't hesitate to get in touch.
You can add these ropes to your booking and pay altogether, just keep following the booking prompts.
5.5mm Thick Twist
The rope we'll be using in the beginners class. It's the perfect all rounder!
4mm Thick Twist
Slightly finer and excellent for achieving more detail. A VERY popular rope among Maggie's Macrame students.
7.5mm Thick Twist
A lovely thick rope that knots quickly and is great for big projects. Perfect for whipping up last minute macrame presents ;)
