The biggest craftcon in town is on and here’s your exclusive invite
Every year since 2009, Craft Victoria has organised the Craft Cubed Festival - the biggest event that brings together Australia’s most creative, for an entire month of exhibitions, workshops, open studios, and more. With the theme ‘Homing Craft’, this year’s celebration launches on 31 July and runs until 31 August.
If you’re as crafty as we know you are, you simply can’t miss this year’s celebration of the handmade. And we’re stoked to share that some of our favourite craft teachers are featured at the event! Make sure to say hello when you drop by their workshops.

A woman’s work, as they say, is never done. Keep up the tradition practised by past generations, back when they would get the community together around the kitchen table for a shared experience. It will be an amazing crafternoon of vintage napery and hand embroidery at Opendrawer. Beginners are more than welcome to attend.
We're very excited to be hosting a satelitte event as part of @craftvictoria's annual festival of craft - Craft Cubed! ⠀ In Women's Work: Unfinished Business participants will connect with women’s history and learn to stitch on pieces of unfinished Fanciwork from our collection of vintage embroideries. While we sew, we will discuss the notion of Women's Work and Fanciwork, the importance for previous generations of women of coming together to sew, and how 'crafternoons' are serving this purpose for the crafters of today.⠀ All skill levels are welcome, so come along and enjoy some stitching and engaging conversation!
