Tasting Australia's Finest Wines
Start training your palate to taste wine like a pro
Wine connoisseur Matthew Hansen has been teaching fine wine appreciation for more than two decades. Open to everyone from complete beginners to the more savvy wine lovers, his courses have had more than 3,000 attendees.
Being a chef himself, Matthew makes sure to pair food with wine in his classes – which range from introduction to wine to more horizontal and vertical tastings featuring specific wine regions or styles. Moreover, as the only completely independent wine educator in Melbourne with no special affiliation with specific wineries, wine merchants or makers, he picks wines to feature in his classes based on pure merit, so you can be assured of a quality wine experience.
But the real secret to Matthew’s success? His classes are fun and engaging, as he regales participants with witty stories in between nuggets of deep knowledge shared about high-end wine.
