Enoteca Sileno is the trading name of L. Di Santo Pty Ltd, arguably the most established and respected importer, distributor and wholesaler of authentic, artisanal, Italian food and wine products in Australia.
Founded in Melbourne in 1953 by Luigi Di Santo, entrepreneur and pioneer of the Italo-Australian community, the company has been entrusted as the Australian home of some of the great gastronomic brands of Italy, as well as many artisan producers of note.
Today, under the direction of Luigi’s daughter Rosemary and her husband John Portelli, along with a dedicated, passionate team, Enoteca Sileno continues to set the standard for the distribution of Italian food and wine in Australia.
In addition to the Import Office and Wholesale Division, the business also includes a Retail Showroom and Scuola di Cucina Cooking School.

The class was very good as were the instructors the venue and the hospitality. Some of the basic techniques e.g. Frying using olive oil and water were surprising and informative. The shared lunch with wine was delicious if not overly generous. A great event! Easily recommended Bryan
I gave this class to a friend for a Christmas present. I was disappointed when she said she didn't get to cook anything, she just watched. She said the imported rice and cheeses were amazing, and the final Risotto's were very rich.
A great class, educational, informative and 'hands on' fun. Dusty the Chef/teacher explained the science and chemistry behind what we were doing, giving a better understanding of what was going on, whilst also giving us an idea of how to troubleshoot problems when things go wrong. I had a great time and learned heaps. Ate a ton of pizza too......👍🏻
