Basket Weaving w/Romey Porcu
In this two week workshop series, learn how to make a small basket in traditional Sardinian style. During the first session you will learn basket stitch, changing colours and shaping your basket, and in the second session you will learn how to finish your basket off, as well as the initial set up process to continue your practice at home!
Romey (she/they) is a multidisciplinary artist working predominantly with fibre arts and basket making. Romey’s work focuses on the intersections of her cultural identities, using a combination of techniques handed down by her ancestors and self-taught methods.
