08 April 2018 • Japanese Boro Making (March 2018)

Fantastic workshop, great guidance and teaching throughout the session. Atmosphere was lovely, a very inviting and comfortable workspace that was easy to get to . well paced for beginners and others with some prior skill and knowledge. Food was amazing.! I did this work shop with my daughter, it was a really nice way to spend the day with her and learn something at the same time. Great idea for gifts or group activities with friends.

27 March 2018 • Japanese Boro Making (March 2018)

I attended the Japanese Boro making workshop in the afternoon after a morning of Sashiko stitching (see review). Leanne, our Sashiko teacher, continued her wonderful teaching throughout the afternoon in our fascinating Boro making class. Again, Leanne’s passion for Japanese stitching shone through. We learned the history of Boro, viewed samples from Leanne’s collection for inspiration and watched her patiently demonstrate techniques. We were supplied with beautiful fabrics to create our own Boro pieces throughout the afternoon. Again, organisers Bel and Bree ensured the smooth running of the workshop with a Japanese lunch and a delightful atmosphere in which we created our beautiful work. Everything about the Windsor Workshop is outstanding. I wish I could spend every Saturday there. Theresa

27 March 2018 • Sashiko Stitching (March 2018)

The Windsor Workshop conducted a wonderful Sashiko workshop. Our teacher, Leanne, shared her passion and knowledge of Japanese slow stitching with patience and kindness. Excellent quality materials were provided for each participant. If I didn’t feel spoiled enough by all this, the warm and enthusiastic hospitality of organisers, Bel and Bree, was a real treat. Divine nibbles, cake, lunch and a selection of teas topped off a delightful sewing session in a gorgeous environment. Outstanding! Theresa
